Haylie was baptized yesterday, Saturday April 13, 2013. She has been anticipating this special day for months. It turned out that Haylie got to have her own baptism eventhough a few hours before she thought she would be sharing it with a boy in the ward, but they ended up not being able to come. So last minute we retyped the program and included Haylie's family. What a special day this was because we had so many family and friends there to support her on this special day. She was very excited because her favorite aunt - Kristi came all the way from California to be there. Haylie asked her to give the baptism talk and she did an amazing job, helping Haylie to understand her baptismal covenants and how it truly is the first ordinance that brings us closer to our Heavenly Father. The spirit was felt so strongly through the whole meeting, and there was a great feeling of love. We definitely felt Kristine's presence there as well.
Preston, Haylie, Katherine, Corbin, and Kolby all sang "I Am a Child of God." They did a great job especially since they hadn't practiced it. And Kellie and Ashlie both played the piano and did awesome.
Later that day all the girls went and got pedicures, and then we went over to Grandma Komm's for dinner. We love being together with family and it makes every event that much more special.
