Kellie and Katherine share the same birthday!
Happy Birthday to Kellie! Every year Kellie has to celebrate her birthday on another day because Girl's camp always is the same week. So we always make due. This year camp would be the week after, but because she is a 4th year they planned 4th year high adverture backpacking trip on the 24th. So again we celebrated her birthday on a different day, the 23rd. Well, the morning of the 23rd she went to weights at the high school (all high school athletes are required to go to a weight class 3 days a week.) She ended up hyperextending her elbow and was in a lot of pain. I didn't think she would be going on the hike. Mike gave her some pain killers and she slept most of the afternoon. So much for celebrating. After she woke up she was still a little groggy and in pain but she was up for going out to eat. We went to the Olive Garden with Grandma and Grandpa and then celebrated with cake witht whole family. Kellie and I worked together to make her cake with fondant. It turned out pretty good I think.
She had a good time and she said she was up for going on the backpacking trip the next day. So on her birthday we sent her on a high adventure with a sling and drugs. What a trooper. From what I heard she did really well. Her friends all helped her put on her pack, and she probably slept better than anyone else because the pills she took knocked her out.
This situation is just typical of Kellie. She wants to do things whether she's in pain her not and she doesn't complain. So Happy Birthday Kellie! Oh and for her gift she got a new camera - waterproof, that she could take with her to EFY, and some new clothes.
